Vacation part 1: Niagara Falls

There was camping.


And more mosquitoes than I care to remember.


And the discovery on night #2 that, no, our tent is not waterproof, despite our efforts. Not the best way to start a week-long camping trip.

We wandered through a craft fair,


And learned lots about locks (the kind on a river)


We found a hidden lighthouse


And, of course, visited Niagara Falls



We even got soaking wet taking a boat to get a water-level view!



The New York trip was an adventure, to be sure! But it was just a start of a week of adventures.
