The way this week has been going- cold, cloudy & wet- the warm comfort food sure was good last night! Early in our marriage, Josh and I disagreed on whether it should be made with American cheese slices (which I grew up with) or Velveeta (which he was used to.) Velveeta won out. Everyone from toddlers on a rampage to teens on acne products to senior citizens on Social Security will pause and enjoy a meal involving grilled cheese. Growing up, it was one of the few meals my dad would cook for us for us, and involves happy memories.

I didn't say this on your food blog b/c I was most likely distracted and/or onehanded, but ...
*drumroll*
I.... don't... like... grilled cheese. I don't like American or Velveeta. I grew up not liking any cheese. Then I grew to like melted cheese, so long as it had other things mixed in (ham, sausage, pepperoni...)
But Velveeta and American cheeses are entirely too... soft... and... the texture... it just makes me gag. :-)

(I also don't like tomato soup. Makes me think I'm drinking ketchup. :-P)
Oh my goodness, that sounds so good right now... especially with some soup from Trader Joe's (Organic Tomato and Roasted Red Pepper Soup). Yummy!
