I harvested my lunch before work this morning.
It's rewarding to know that the salad I'm eating for lunch was grown in my backyard. The dew was still on the leaves when I cut them this morning. Can't get much fresher than that!
I look forward to lunch! And to the beginning of the summer, when salads will abound, as the lettuce plants aren't full-grown yet, and I'm already eating off of them!

* Technically, I had already harvested some herbs to use in cooking, so this wasn't actually my FIRST harvest, but it was the first of the things I planted.
