Dinner for my balcony spider

More Wordless Wednesday

(creepy) Thought for the day: what if they made animal print bedding in spider-color? I'm not talking Spiderman, I'm talking the fine orange-and-black stripes as seen on the dainty legs of this fine arachnid. I was fascinated by the coloring on the spider. After looking at the picture. I didn't admire it up-close when I spotted its large web.

Yipes. I think I'd prefer the orange-and-black stripes mimicking a tiger, although I also imagine, in real life, a tiger would be more dangerous than this (large) spider. Why is it the spider bothers me more? The tigers have the potential to be cuddly; this guy, not so much.

I've learned to appreciate (not like mind you) spiders. They really are very useful creatures!

Hmm... Not to nit-pick, but this post is about as "wordless" as it is commentless!

That's a nice looking spider. Back when we lived in an apartment, we had two spiders, one in the kitchen, one in the bathroom, that we kept alive and cleaned up after, and they kept the apartment bug free. Handy!
