GROCERY sales have grown at their slowest rate for more than a year after wet weather and slowing consumer spending, new figures reveal.I never thought to blame slow grocery sales on rain, though England has had more than her share lately. People, theoretically would eat the same amount, don't you think? Or more, because they're stuck inside all the time? I thought the study was bizarre. I wouldn't have ever thought to make that statistical connection. Though, if they're needing a boat to get to the grocery store, I suppose it does cut down on their sales.
The grocery market grew by 4 per cent in the 12 weeks to 15 July, the slowest growth rate seen since May last year, according to market research firm TNS Worldpanel.
And this concludes Random World News Tonight. That is all.
