Josh and I have a long-standing debate over the color of my old car, his current car. It looks very much like this:
I always said 'maroon' or 'red'. He always insisted 'purple'.
Today in Christian Marriage class, we talked about biological brain differences between men and women, and how even their vision is different. Apparently, among other things, women are more sensitive to light at the RED end of the spectrum, and men are more sensitive to light at the BLUE end of the spectrum. Therefore, Josh and I can look at the same color car and call it two different colors, his tending toward maroon + blue (purple) and me, maroon + red (red).
The two-year disagreement has been solved.
