I want to try the <A HREF="http://knitty.com/ISSUEwinter06/PATTtwinkletoes.html" REL="nofollow">slippers</A> but haven't tackled double-pointed needles yet.<BR/><BR/>Ashley - As far as I can tell, in the knitting world, the dishcloth is the useful, thoughtful gift you can quickly get done as a thank you or hostess gift (Trust me, I'll get one made for you eventually. Just give me an occasion). For example, when I knitted the <A HREF="http://picasaweb.google.com/JoshAndJoanna/CameraPhoneCaptures/photo?pli=1#5032494666273488514" REL="nofollow">hearts</A> around valentines day, I was able to give one to Caroline on the occasion of her engagement. Unfortunately, I didn't have red dishcloth cotton around, so these aren't as useful as they could be! They're nice to keep around for stuff like that. It's a very durable yarn.
